Strengthen Networking Mechanisms at the Grassroots
Participants in a networking workshop held in Nakuru, Kenya, at the request of a group of 26 attendees at the Mombasa training event. They all work in the Rift Valley area separated by huge geographical distancesGRACE aims to facilitate information sharing and resource mobilization at the grassroots by:
- Maintaining a comprehensive activity/target profile of the partner organizations which they can share among themselves and with other stakeholders,
- Organizing in-country forums with stakeholders to share lessons learned. Areas of common interest are identified and avenues for sharing locally-available resources and forging partnerships are developed.
G.R.A.C.E. partners routinely share information, arrange exchange visits, and meet every other year for discussions in a workshop setting. The partners considered their "Documentation of Best Practices" meeting in 2004 to be particularly rewarding.
