2011 Caribbean HIV Conference, On Strengthening Evidence To Achieve Sustainable Action
The CEO and Director of G.R.A.C.E. participated in the 2011 Caribbean HIV conference, on Strengthening Evidence To Achieve Sustainable Action held in the Bahamas between November 18 to 21, 2011 to sharpen the regional focus on HIV in the Caribbean.
Adult HIV prevalence in the Caribbean is approximately 1 percent, which is higher than that of any region of the world outside of Sub-Saharan Africa (UNAIDS 2010 Global Report).
G.R.A.C.E. Receives OSF grant to support youth in puppetry
In October, G.R.A.C.E. received a grant of $6000.00 from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Daedalus Project to improve the skills of orphaned Kenyan youth who have been have exposed to participatory educational theater through the use of puppetry to deliver HIV-prevention messages.
