G.R.A.C.E Africa conducted a five day Planning Meeting for 40 representatives from 19 organizations engaged in the OVC Support Project in Nyanza, Central and Eastern provinces of Kenya.
The main objective of the meeting was to prepare the sub partners with skills and capacity needed for success in program implementation and sub agreement management of Early Childhood Development centres. The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and USAID regulations and guidelines were presented.
The forum also provided the opportunity for partners to share lessons learned and highlight the successes and challenges experienced by those already running ECD centres. Facilitators were drawn from the Ministries of Education, Public Health and Sanitation, and from Childline. |
