 Forum for community mobilization is youth based organizations (C.B.O) that is involved in provision of Health Education & awareness especially HIV/ AIDS, STI, TB, Nutritional and many more in Kiambu District. The C.B.O. was registered with the ministry of culture and social services in June year 2002.
     Fofcom was started by a group of volunteer with different background. Some being affected by HIV/ AIDS and rendered orphans.

More emphases has been given to the children & youth who are vulnerable in the society.

    MISSION:- To initiate health communication interactions and support that will help the community / Youth  & orphans to solve their  health problems and live healthy lives.

ACTIVITIES.

*       Currently we areoperating a resource center where we are offering health information throughthe computer using CD disks and diagnostic test (V.C.T.) services.

*       Distribution ofsafe motherhood vouchers to expectant mothers.

*       V.C.T services

*       Provide civiceducation

*       Outreachprogrammes to the disabled

*       Organizing youthsports activities focusing behavior change

e.g Bicycle race and football tournaments.

KANGOYA PRIMARY SCHOOL .

*       Providing homebased care service to the community and referrals to health facilities.

*       Provision ofcondom to sexually active and give information on how to use it in the properway . Wisely and Consistently.

ACHIVEMENTS

*       Fully equipped inoperation Community Health Information Resources Center.(CHIC)

*       Improve mode ofbehaviour change communication towards health issues e.g proper use of condomsA.B.C., V.C.T, Drug abuse.

*       Early ChildhoodDevelopment Centre (ECD). Funded by USAID   through GRACE Africa.

*       Dialoging andtesting members of the community to know their health status.

*       Assisted 15 OVC /Youth to join vocational training.

*       Assisted over 200OVC to get basic education   (ECD)

*       Creating andparticipation in disseminating of HIV/ AIDS, drug abuse, amongst othersinformation at district levels e.g bicycle race that reaches 500 participants.

*       Training 50village representatives on home based care which were from the 6 surroundingvillages.

*       Empowering youthand orphans on their rights

*       Working in closecollaboration with the government institutions and the public. E.g prisons,hospitals.

*       Training over 200youths on various skills e.g

-           Paralegal

-           Memory book

-           Productdevelopment

-           Tye & Dye andscreen printing

*       Sensitizing andmobilizing men in fight against HIV/AIDS in the district. (SMAK).
